Division 1: General Rules for Overlay Zones (Added 12-9-1997 by O-18451 N.S.; effective 1-1-2000.) §132.0101 Purpose of Overlay Zones The purpose of overlay zones is to provide supplemental regulations that have been tailored to specific geographic areas of the City. Overlay zones are applied in conjunction with a base zone and modify or add to the regulations of the base zone to address specific issues such as development adjacent to airports, special height or parking requirements, or supplemental processing requirements. The overlay zone designation is shown after the base zone designation on the Official Zoning Map.
